Wise wise words! We can approach our emotions with intent and guide our responses. Remind me of that next time I am in a slap fight, would you all?

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,

And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security.

And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises,

And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,

And you learn to build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.

After a while you learn…
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.

So you plant your garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure…

That you really are strong

And you really do have worth…

And you learn and learn…

With every good-bye you learn.”

Ah the hard won lessons of life! If only there were short cuts to wisdom.

Beautiful poem Lori - thank you. :x

I created this a while back and felt it a tribute to our collective wild spirits as women!
Here's to you all!

Lovely to see this again, Lori.
I'm trying to religiously (and wildly) follow this guidance, and fulfil every item on the wild list, - perhaps with the one exception of 'wooly' :57: And just to clarify, my wild affairs are all conducted in my wild imagination. :72:

Oh how didn't I mess this stunning wild hair display? Wonderful Mz Moonchime. Though Mr Moonchime has become quite nifty with them hair scissors throughout this pandemic!

Oh, and the beauty of wild imagination is that it is completely and utterly safe! :72:
