OMG I have woken up and gone to heaven !
What a treasure trove of delight! I had to go and lie down after my first glance at the thread - it was just all too much for me.
I don't know where to start - the giphs all make me smile but the creations by Suami are just incredible and I adore that little goat - his soul just shines out.
Then there's these delicate white mice that almost don't seem knitted at all they are so fine with amazing attention to detail - like the feet turning in or lashes on the eyes. Obviously the type of wool you use makes a great difference - it looks like some of the mice are made from angora.
As for the snake eating the mouse Dee - I have to say that darkened my mood like a sudden clap of thunder.
I think there should be another frame with the mouse coming out of the other end - it's the only decent way to finish the story; the mouse will of course be all right; the way people are when they've been swallowed by wolves in fairy stories.
Whilst paying attention to Dee teaching songs in a church hall I found myself staring at a poster entitled "Knitted Bible" - apparently knitted bible figures are used to tell bible stories and one of our number attended this event and said it was most enjoyable. Knitted cribs are quite common I suppose, so it makes sense to use figures in this way - although I do wonder whether it would work for the story of Salome and John the Baptist!
I just find this so endearing!
Oh what JOY.

Mz DF, I will hope for the gift of time for you this holiday season, so that you may start filling this thread with your own tiny knitted wonders The little mice you've added are TOO MUCH. So delicate! I love them.DawnFae wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2017 1:01 pmHAHA! Thank you guys for starting this beautiful thread!
I wanted to do it for a long time but didn't dare !
I wanted to start activities in this "field" but got so much work that I haven't knit any socks this year. Can you imagine ?
I will think about it and come up with a plan to do it or at least experiment with it. I love knitting and I love miniatures so we'll see .
