Oh my heart. How much pain can a woman take? And then rise again from the darkest despair to fight for her unborn child? How will June do this, now that she has pledged to escape again in these most impossible circumstances? Thankfully she has snapped out from her practically catatonic state. That was almost unbearable to watch. Thinking she had lost the baby, the very last thing she still had, that was also her one 'saving grace', - she just wanted it all over. Did she throw herself or just let herself fall out of her window into oblivion? It doesn't even matter in the end ...

Despite the odds, they both survived. So now? We have June back... back as in back to playing the part of Offred and binding her time? Can't wait for the next episode!!! Will they keep her at the hospital, under surveillance, I wonder?

The colonies still feel very contrived to me, but much better story this time, and bless Janine for spreading a little joy in this dark world.

Serena enjoying the wedding, rubbing it in June's face... The Commander initiating it in his jealousy and spite, hurt pride, whatever... what cruel heartless shits they both are. They deserve anything coming to them when the tables are finally turned.

All those young girls forced to be brides... another horror show. Why so young? Why?

This episode was very strong and showed the despair of all participants in the charade they call Gilead very clearly!

Serena is as evil as they come in this regime that justifies all its wrong doings through the bible verses. What a shame!

Serena and the commander are sick and rotten to the core!

The young girls who are forced into marriage with mere strangers are no better off than the rest of the world.
Why so young? Because they are suggestible and they can be molded in what ever the Gilead elite criminals want them to be.

It is not enough for Serena that a woman got her spirit crushed, she must destroy her totally and utterly. Who cares? The baby is growing just fine inside the vessel she has to put up with.
She took the last bit of support and warmth from June because she is an envious, deranged, evil bitch. Didn't Nick suspect the consequences of his request to Mrs. Waterford?

The commander knows exactly who the real father of "his baby" is. What a hypocritical bunch!

Arranged, collective, forced marriages are seen as a reward for the guardians.

Now Nick will consummate his marriage to the young girl and what comes next?

The colonies charade is but a cruel, living symbol of hell on earth so that people can be better deterred from questioning the authority of the almighty God Gilead based on real happenings on that forsaken place
How can these people even talk about God is beyond me :017: :73: .

New cruel twists. I am a lamb to slaughter looking for redeeming qualities in these players. It may come eventually, but not in time to absolve or forgive their deeds.

This was done incredibly well once again. The seesaw between the fighting spirit and the feeling of inevitability keeps swinging its iron fist. How could June not feel her own death and that of the baby's a kinder path? Yet, with the little one's heart beating still in spite of all that transpired, June is back and has a renewed sense of purpose.

Poor Nick - damned if he do and damned if he don't, much like all the people under Gilead rule. Even the constructors of the hierarchy have painted themselves into untenable corners. No one is happy. The young frightened and malleable brides take their place amongst all women within stages of destruction. All men likewise - riding high if only for now in certain circumstances.

All right ladies...catching up with you...
