Definitely inspiration but one thing is clear to me - they are not quick creations; they're careful and planned and take time and I'm still only at the thinking stage!!! :57:

This guy is definitely a lot more ambitious in his creations than some of the other artists we have looked at!

I'm looking forward to some colour returning into our lives... it's been a long long stretch of grey and brown now.

I feel you need to listen to a Silver Birch - you haven't yet have you?
choose a young one with a thin trunk and a breeze blowing through its upper branches.

Stunning and so varied! I find myself liking his works that do not detract from the nature surrounding his work, but speak to it. He uses rowan berries a lot, I see. That touches a chord in me and they are beautiful, aren't they? (I used this line in a lullabye once upon a time: "Lay ye in wreaths from the rowan berry tree.")

I am amazed by the depth of his planning and sometimes the lengths he must go to in accomplishing these large-scale projects. Incredibly creative. Beautiful use of color.
