Knitting Banxy, from Syston, Leicestershire, is behind 23 post box toppers which have won a huge social media response and a celebrity fan.

She said she has chosen to keep her identity secret as she "prefers to stay in the shadows".

"It's a bonus I've not been pulled up for suspicious activity," she said.










This royal topper was to celebrate the official birthday of the Queen in June

Aren’t these a lot of fun? I haven’t seen them before, thank for the smiles, Mz Moonchime. Must come back to this thread, there’s been other towns with other knitting artists doing yarn bombing, it’s been quite a thing I believe! Mz Moonchime, any plans of committing knitting vandalism?

I just love yarn bombing - I saw some in Huntingdon and bits in other places too.
If I can improve my knitting skills then YES I would love to commit some woolly vandalism. How about it Mz Dee?

These are fab-u-lous! I saw one in Ely recently and loved it. I would need to up my knitting skills considerably before attempting even a scarf for one of the characters!
