What a beautiful selection, Mz L, for a cosy late night playlist, and as it appears, it also works beautifully on a Sunday morning. Such heartfelt rendition of the Meditation... wonderful to watch him play. I grew up listening to my mother playing Ave Maria on the piano, so that took me back to places. I've stolen Into the Fire from you a long time ago and still as precious as on the first listen, but Holocene felt new to me this morning. What an enchanting video to go with it.
Thank you for the music, Lori.

Took some songs for a spin while we were eating dinner-the Night We Met, so moody & I really like his voice! I like how stripped down that song is. I've never listened to much Bon Iver. I liked that song; the video made me miss my boys...and they're in the next room...if that makes sense!

Makes total sense, Mz. NR. Those kiddos are with us but a fleeting moment.
Regarding Lord Huron, The Night We Met is just one song of a 'story' album. The entire album from start to finish is comprised songs chronologically related to each other in a story. There are a couple of other cuts I'm fond of.

Ahh, thanks, Lori. Brings back a lot of memories. What a week it's been already. Feels pretty heavy today. It was great to sing with ML; has it been ten years??
PS: Common Threads is absolutely crushing me on this day after such tragedy. What a masterful song

I've heard a lot about this awesome duet and my goodness, aren't they just something else? I find it so heartwarming to listen to these two lovely voices blending so smoothly together. Lori, you were not exaggerating when you've described Mz NR's voice. What a warm texture and sweetness to your voice, NR, my dear new Pic-Friend! It's been wonderful to finally hear you sing, and now I just want to hear more please.
This recording must be so incredibly precious for you, Lori. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Well of course!
Come to think of it, we have quite an amazing choir registered here already... Just to think to have all our members here in one room? Singing?
Now that's one beautiful thought. Who is gonna stop us from making it happen?
