Fun game, Dee! I'm in...I still remember when Mike came home from work, decades ago, and told me he'd heard this really great song on the radio--- "Yellow" by a band called Coldplay :72:

29. Cecilia--Simon and Garfunkel
I remember being perplexed by the part of the lyric about getting up to wash your face & coming back to bed to find "someone's taken my place.." What the heck does THAT mean...my 7 or 8 year old brain couldn't figure it out! :57: No clue. But the song sounded like a fun street carnival & I've always liked it for that reason....

:57: Well, that's a pretty mean thing to do to someone, especially in their own house! Fun memories!

Cecilia is also very special for me. It takes me back to when I first met Will. With another 20 students from all over the world, we stayed with this community in the New Forest for a couple of weeks, building a children's playground for them, and joining in with the everyday running of the community. In the common room they had a rickety record player with a few old records, and this was by far the best album of the the lot. For about a week we played it every single night, singing along, and this song still takes me right back there, every time I hear it. :035:

29. Eagle by ABBA

My childhood faves were ABBA. And this song in particular...

Interesting video, DF! All these longing looks and cuddles, but then they practically make love with their music on that piano stool, facing away from each other... so much passion!

Funny how so many Simon and Garfunkel songs seem to feature in this thread already. They have certainly given the world some timeless classics.
