Am loving all the interpretations - it's probably all of them - they're not really that different are they? Different aspects of life and living - whether it be stages through time or personality. As for what she is holding - I just thought she was touching the cloth/feathers of the younger woman - one hand on the past and one in the future. What a pity there doesn't seem to be more information on Sulamith's work - or maybe it was her intention that we form our own interpretations anyway. :08:

Great thoughts, ladies. I think they all do wrap around the same base perception; the yin and yang of life perhaps. I read that Sulamith preferred not to explain her work, but rather let it speak to the viewer. Her body of work has a huge voice regarding her heart, doesn't it?

Our February... Mz Moonchime suggests we are seeing a male guardian angel here, asking the girl to not be afraid... It's nice to see the roles reversed.

I was sorry to see this one go, although each month is a treat. He seems like he has some armor on, but kind of a monk's robe? In any event, she's not afraid; I love the glowing background & the flowers. Beautiful.

Looks like a monk hairstyle too, though it could reflect simply a popular hairstyle of an era. Her hands look to be in surrender. I'm not sure the bent on this one...

It's a little scary with her standing right on the edge of a cliff. One more step back could be fatal.
I think she looks frightened, and he's trying to reassure her. He seems to want to protect her.

I suppose we could just use the pictures above the calendar for 2019 when it comes!!! :57:

I don't remember seeing some of these - forgive me if I've repeated any we have already seen - every time I look I find something that seems, at least to me, new . She was simply astounding in her output and yet there is so very little actual published material about her work even though there are posters and cards.

In homage to autumn.

There have certainly been a few new ones (or what feel like new ones  ) in your selection, MC!

This one is my favourite new one:

She's the master of so many things, but the composition here is just perfect.
This could in fact become one of my absolute favourites.
Thank you, MC! :x
