Vampire Academy - New Series

Plec, who has helmed The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Legacies, serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer alongside Marguerite MacIntyre. Based on Richelle Mead’s novels, Vampire Academy has been ordered for a 10-episode first season at Peacock.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

From executive producer Julie Plec comes a story of romance, friendship, death, sex, and scandal. Vampire Academy is based on a series of young adult paranormal romance novels by international bestselling author Richelle Mead. In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women's friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter royal vampire society. JP loves rehashing stuff, she could start a new series with Delena but Ian's wife would put her foot down, I guess...

I just found out that this show has been cancelled by Peacok.
I haven't watched any episodes so far.

But it looks like JP has one more Vampire Diaires Spinoff up her sleeve. Unfortunately I haven't found any new news about it other than this bit under the following link:

Whether it is just an idea at this point or more is anyone's guess.
Legacies was not too bad though, as a Spinoff series...
I guess that if they get greenlit on that, we will "hear about it" on the net.
